2. Why does the Members
section of the W4W site need to use cookies? |
|
|
When you "Log In" by
entering your Member Name, Password and Email Address a small cookie (file) containing only
those 3 values is written to your computer. This small cookie file authenticates you
through the Members section of the site and it is removed when you log out (by
clicking on one of the "Log Out" links).

3. If cookies are disabled in my browser, will I be able to access the
site? |
|
|
No. Cookies are what we use
to authenticate you while you're surfing the Member's section of the site.

Though most answers to
configuration questions can be found in your browser Help files, you're more
than welcome to send an email
outlining the problem you're having to
sitestress@womyn4womyn.com.

change my profile? |

In the future
you'll be able to make your own changes via our web site. Until then, send an email to
sitestress@womyn4womyn.com.
Please include your Member Name and detail the change(s) to your profile.

6. How can I send my picture to
appear with my profile? |
|
|

We highly recommend
sending us a photo of yourself that we can post along with your profile.
Photos are important. They make a big difference when members search for
a match and statistics show that photos enhance your chances of being
noticed and/or contacted by others. |

Decide on a photo that
you would like to use |
|
|
Send it to us as a jpg file. For example: If I chose the name
Jasmine as my Member Name, I would send my picture via email as jasmine.jpg.
If
you have any problems with your picture you can send it to us and we will
take care of it for you, but make sure you tell us your Member Name. |
